Logan Akbas: Team Captain

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: Logan oversees all internal and external aspects of MACH, serving as the face of the organization to the aerospace community and filling in any gaps in the design and construction of MACH aircraft.
Interests: Logan enjoys skiing, playing cards/board games, working out, playing sports, and watching movies

Alexander Rodriguez: Aerodynamics Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Sophomore
Role: Alex leads the aerodynamic development of the aircraft, designing airfoils, control surfaces, and running simulations and wind tunnel tests.
Interests:
Alex enjoys playing and watching sports, hiking, and building Legos.

Jason Fan: Chief Engineer

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: Jason collaborates with leads and team members to ensure all aircraft components integrate seamlessly into a cohesive system, overseeing technical issue resolution and driving the adoption of new technologies.
Interests:
Jason enjoys playing musical instruments, especially piano, trombone, and guitar.

Brendan Goll: Propulsion Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: Brendan leads the propulsion subteam in thrust testing, propeller and battery selection, and propulsion system integration. He oversees the full control loop from RC transmitter to electronic speed controllers.
Interests:
Brendan enjoys spending his free time fishing, playing board/card games with friends, listening to music, and cooking.

Olivia Rollison: Construction Manager

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Junior
Role: Olivia manages the manufacturing of MACH’s prototype and competition aircrafts, overseeing build sessions and coordinating with all sub-teams to select materials, manufacture and assemble components, and conduct testing.
Interests:
Olivia's engineering interests include manufacturing, structures, and materials science. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting, reading, and attending live music and sporting events.

Nicholas Hussey-Gonzalez: Structures Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Sophmore
Role: Nico, along with Matt, leads the Structures subteam and designs, stress tests, and selects materials for the plane using CAD and FEA.
Interests:
In his free time Nico enjoys reading, playing music, 3d printing and biking.

Emilly Marciszewski: Systems Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: As the Systems lead, Emilly oversees systems level management among sub-teams, and maintains records of the design process including requirements breakdowns and risk management. She also manages team budget, team visibility, and sponsorship connections.
Interests: Emilly enjoys birdwatching, planespotting, sketching, and painting in her free time.

Bob Gu: MDO Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: Bob collaborates with other aircraft subsystem teams as MDO lead, determining competition strategy and conducting aircraft preliminary design using gradient based optimisation tools.
Interests:
Outside MACH, Bob enjoys travelling, photography, and flying general aviation airplanes.

Matthew Dunninger: Structures Lead

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Year: Senior
Role: Matt trains and leads team members in preliminary and detailed design of the aircraft using CAD software. As part of this process, he works with other leads to select the materials the aircraft will be built out of and determine how they will be manufactured
Interests:
Outside of Aerospace and hypersonics, Matt’s interests include reading, writing, playing sports, and working out.
